Meet the Developer

Proudly developed by Habitat for Humanity of Dane County, this 62-acre community is nestled on Sun Prairie’s east side at the northwest corner of Town Hall Drive and State Highway 19.

At Habitat for Humanity of Dane County, our ultimate goal is creating a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Established.

Town Hall Crossing is Habitat’s eighth planned community in Dane County and includes 118 single-family homes with 40% of them for Habitat homeowners, along with parks, ample green space, and so much more!

For more than 30 years, Habitat for Humanity of Dane County has been a trusted name in construction, with more than 300 homes built and seven communities developed in 18 different communities across Dane County.

Equitable.

At Habitat for Humanity, we don’t offer handouts, we offer a hand up. A hand up to families who fall between 30 to 60 percent of Dane County’s median household income and are unable to qualify for traditional financing. A hand up to hard working folks that invest 375 hours of “sweat equity” building their homes alongside volunteers. A hand up, along with a 30-year mortgage with a below-market interest rate and monthly mortgage payments capped at 30 percent of the family’s gross income. A hand up to make homeownership affordable and sustainable for Dane County residents.

Knowledgeable.

Each Habitat family attends more than 40 hours of coursework to prepare them for homeownership, and every mortgage payment contributes to building future Habitat homes, making the model sustainable.
